Steven J. Kaplan
established Kaplan Global Tax Advisor, LLC (Kaplan
Global Tax) to provide a platform for servicing
closely held and family owned businesses considering
or with established operations in the international
marketplace.
Kaplan Global Tax
primary area of focus has been assisting foreign
closely held and family owned businesses establish
operations in the United States. Our attitude is to
work in concert with our client’s attorneys and
other advisors both foreign and domestic in
establishing an effective global team dedicated to
structuring a global tax plan that compliments our
client’s business plan rather than hindering its
execution.
Due to Steve’s
entrepreneurial client service nature and his
network of professionals within and outside the area
of taxes. Kaplan Global Tax is often asked to assist
our clients in areas outside of the stereotypical
tax and accounting issues most CPA firms feel secure
operating within the business environment.
Therefore, our clients have relied on the firm to
assist them on various projects ranging from
searching for commercial bank partners, identifying
and filing staff positions to identifying
governmental non-tax incentives and review and
modification of corporate business plans.
Many tax and
non-tax professionals claim to have a world wide
network of firms that provide resources to enable
the U.S. firm to assist clients on the ground
outside the United States. In most cases the network
the CPA claims to have is nothing more than a
referral service. Our network of professionals is
much more accountable to our clients than a referral
service. They represent a variety of disciplines
that provide valuable resources to our
entrepreneurial client base. The only professionals

service partners rather than a referral service.

clients’ goals are our goals and we continually

continually move toward achieving these goals. Value
added is a term often used but seldom practiced.
